The celebrations lasted two and a half hours and this was a particularly enthusiastic festival in a packed church. A reception was given in the court of the monastery by the family of one of the baptised. The traditional Agape followed with the faithful gathering at the Oasis of Saint Joseph. The hot and sunny day allowed the families to picnic outside, freeing the room which was too cramped to accommodate everyone.

Each great festival is the occasion of a spiritual meeting of the faithful who live far off, with the priests and the rector of the parish. The day ended with Solemn Vespers.

The feast of Pentecost was very lively this year, with three baptisms and three confessions of the orthodox faith into our church
